Sportvereniging Red Star Aalst opened up its first free agency period as a Belgian Premier League club, and did not waste time adding new talent. The newest members of the team are:
- Claudie Huntington - F - ENG - 20 y/o
- Wijtze Castro - D - BEL - 18 y/o
- Hendricus-Jacobus Peeters - D - BEL - 23 y/o
- Berlyn Pasch - D - GER - 18 y/o
A member of the reserve team for BPL powerhouse Wonderkid Sports Authority last season, Claudie Huntington will be making his professional debut this season with Red Star. The 20 year old Englishman projects to be a pacey forward with a surprising tactical knowledge for someone his age.
Belgian 18 year old defender Wijtze Castro will join Aalst on his first pro contract. The 6'1 Castro is very physically strong and has shown the ability to work capable attackers off of the ball in his U18 career.
The only signing for the club so far with top level pro experience, defender Hendricus-Jacobus Peeters has 3 years of experience for 3 different clubs in the BPL. The 23 year old Belgian has 114 match appearances, 9 goals, and zero bookings. Peeters will likely hold a centre back role in Red Star's staring XI.
German teenager Berlyn Pasch will play for Red Star this season, likely starting at the wing back position. The 18 year old showed a flair for creating plays in his U18 days, and will hope to do the same as he debuts as a professional.
All 4 players signed 5 year deals with their new club.
